why are people so cruel? so insensitive to other’s hearts and feelings? why can’t you think before you act? take a minute and think about how crushed you would be if such a thing happened to you. think about how many nights you would lie awake crying. have pity on those you hate just as much as you would those you love. we’re all humans, and we’re all trying so hard to survive this cruel world. don’t make it harder on any creature. don’t add more troubles to someone’s already troubled life. don’t be responsible for pushing someone over the edge. your actions don’t just affect you. your actions can leave behind crushed souls and broken lives if you aren’t careful. so please, stop being so insensitive. stop rushing through life, thinking you are the only one with problems and joys and a lover and a sister. you aren’t alone in this world, there are so many around you, and we’re all affected by your decisions. strangers across the continent are closely woven in the web of life, each one’s choice affecting the other. don’t throw a stone into the pond without considering what the ripples will affect. be conscious. be considerate. be aware. hold on to those around you, to that man getting on the bus, to that woman holding her baby, to that child begging her grandfather for a balloon. think of the taxes he has to pay, think of the fights they will have, think of the loss she will experience, and have pity. care. care because you can. care because there are few in this world that do. care because sometimes to care is the only action in this world without a truly negative consequence.
